What is Bias in AI?

Bias in AI refers to systematic and unfair discrimination against certain individuals or groups based on attributes such as race, gender, age, or socioeconomic status. This can result from biased data, biased algorithms, or biased interpretation of AI outputs. It is a phenomenon where AI systems produce biased results, often reflecting and amplifying societal prejudices. This can occur at various stages of AI development, from data collection to algorithm design and deployment.

How Bias Occurs ?

Biased Data: If the data used to train an AI model is not representative of the real world, the model will learn to make biased decisions. For instance, if a facial recognition system is trained primarily on white male faces, it may struggle to accurately identify people of other genders or ethnicity.
